Biography by AllMovie

A native of Newcastle, Australia, actress Sarah Wynter was 17 when she traveled to New York City to study drama. After appearing in a number of off-Broadway productions, she made her screen debut in the 1995 romantic drama Let It Be Me, and then landed a small role in Species II (1998). She found more substantial work playing Ben Chaplin's girlfriend in Lost Souls in 1999, and she could subsequently be seen as a Russian assassin in the Arnold Schwarzenegger thriller The Sixth Day (2000). In 2002, she joined the season 3 cast of the hit series 24, and followed it up with a recurring role on The Dead Zone. TV suited Wynter well, and she subsuquently took on a starring role on the drama Windfall in 2006. The series was canceled after 13 episodes, but the actress continued to stay in front of the camera, appearing on shows like Dead Like Me and Flight of the Conchords.
