biography
Film editor Richard Meyer edited many feature films during his long career. A native of Frankfurt, Germany, Meyer began his career in Paris. He next came to the U.S. Following studies at Stanford University, Meyer became an apprentice of distinguished outdoor photographer Ansel Adams. During WWII, Meyer worked with a military camera crew under George Stevens. After the war, he edited documentaries for Louis de Rochemont and in '55 began editing feature films. He also edited television programs.
