Production designer, producer, and screenwriter Polly Platt worked on a number of major feature films of the '70s and '80s. As a production designer, she gained considerable acclaim for the work she did on the films of her ex-husband, Peter Bogdanovich, including What's Up, Doc? (1972). Platt's screenwriting credits include the script for Louis Malle's controversial Pretty Baby (1978). She also worked as a producer on such films as The Bad News Bears (1976), Broadcast News (1987), and Say Anything (1989).
