biography
Best known as the first and second Mrs. Cornel Wilde (they married twice), blonde Patricia Knight (born Heinsen) appeared in the short-lived Broadway musical Sea Legs and, with her husband-to-be, in the off-Broadway revival of Moon Over Mulberry Street. Wilde was reportedly determined to make his wife a star and Columbia Pictures obligingly cast them together in Shockproof (1949). The result was less than encouraging, however, and her subsequent films were minor. She is the mother of actress Wendy Wilde.
