Paola Borboni ranked among Italy's finest interpreters of internationally renowned playwright Luigi Pirandello's work. She spent most of her long, distinguished career on stage and only occasionally ventured into feature films. Her most memorable film roles can be found in Federico Fellini's I Vitelloni (1953) and in Roman Holiday in which she played a crabby old charwoman in a scene with Audrey Hepburn.
