Biography by AllMovie

A handsome young actor of the early 1910s, who tragically became one of the more prominent victims of the 1918 influenza epidemic, Charles Gunn had appeared with such major West Coast stock companies as Morosco and Alcazar prior to entering films with Paralta and Thanhouser. He later became a leading man for the Triangle company and was on the verge of a breakthrough when he retired to take care of his ailing wife. Gunn was stricken with the then often fatal disease mere weeks before a scheduled return to Morosco to star in the play Pals First.
