For the first decade or so of her acting career, Lauren Stamile specialized in television work, with occasional guest appearances on such programs as The West Wing, Cold Case, Boston Legal, and Rules of Engagement. She evoked the presence of actress Kate Jackson in the 2004 telemovie Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of Charlie's Angels and scored her first major recurring series role in 2007 during the fourth season of the medical drama Grey's Anatomy .
