Director Anand Tucker paid his dues directing British TV commercials before breaking into the big screen with 1996's Saint-Ex. Two years later, he made major waves with the critically acclaimed drama Hilary and Jackie. His next project came in 2003, when he tried his hand at producing the period movie Girl with a Pearl Earring, which helped launch the career of starlet Scarlett Johansson. Tucker was soon returning to the director's chair however, helming the Steve Martin film Shopgirl in 2005. He would go on to direct And When Did You Last See Your Father? and Red Riding: 1983 over the coming years, eventually taking on the Amy Adams-led romantic comedy Leap Year in 2010.
