American comic actor Ole Olsen, born John Sigurd Olsen, was a solo vaudevillian before he and Chic Johnson teamed up to become one of the most popular comedy/vaudeville acts of the early 20th century (Olsen played the straightman). They began acting in films during the early '30s. Their most memorable movie was the comedy Hellzapoppin' (1942).
