Distinguished production designer/art director Norman Garwood is adept at creating elaborate sometimes surreal sets that bend the boundaries of reality without quite breaking them, as can be seen in films such as Brazil (1985), Time Bandits (1981), Princess Bride (1983) and Being Human (1994). He got his start in the early 1980s with Brimstone and Treacle (1982). Garwood has been nominated for two Oscars and one British Academy Award.
