biography
A burlesque and vaudeville actor, writer, and producer, Russian-born Ned Dandy (real name: Nathan Fried) turned to screenwriting rather late in life, penning such low-budget productions as Honolulu Lu (1941), Laugh Your Blues Away (1943), and the serial Mandrake the Magician (1939), all for Columbia Pictures.
