Dark-eyed, dark-haired British actress Nanette Newman was still in her teens when she made her first film appearance in Personal Affairs (1953). The wife of director Bryan Forbes, Newman has been featured in several of Forbes' best films, including The Whisperers (1966), The Wrong Box (1968) and The Stepford Wives (1975). She is a familiar presence on British television, starring in the weekly series Let Their Be Love (1982) and Late Expectations (1987). Newman is also the author of several cookbooks and children's books. Most recently, Nanette Newman was co-starred in the 1993 TV adaptation of The Mystery of Edwin Drood.
