Biography by AllMovie

Best known for his ongoing contribution to the daytime soap opera As the World Turns, genial actor Michael Park grew up well outside the realm of show business, in mid-state Canandaigua, NY, and attended Nazareth College in nearby Rochester. Though Park initially majored in an area all but unrelated to the performing arts, towering success in collegiate musical theater productions convinced him to reorient his focus to drama, and by his post-graduation years, the blossoming performer was touring in regional stage renditions of Carousel, The Phantom of the Opera, Hello Again, and other efforts, and landed high-profile roles in the Broadway productions of Smokey Joe's Café and Little Me. Beginning in 1997, Park essayed an ongoing, multi-season role on the aforementioned soap as Detective Jack Snyder.
