biography
Michael Orrom spent most of his career making documentaries sponsored by Shell Oil and British Transport. Examples of his work include Mining Review (1948) and Channel Islands (1952). In addition to directing, Orrom also wrote the screenplay for and edited debuting director Paul Rotha's powerful docudrama No Resting Place (1950).
