biography
Country & western singer Mary Lee confined her screen activities almost exclusively to Westerns. She made her film debut opposite Gene Autry in 1939, and went on to co-star in a number of Autry vehicles, usually playing a hoydenish character named Patsy. When Autry marched off to war in the mid-'40s, Lee continued appearing in Republic musical Westerns with Roy Rogers and other stars. After retiring from the screen, Mary Lee made occasional guest appearances at various Western nostalgia conventions throughout the nation.
