American producer Martin Ransogoff was the founder of Filmways, a major television production company that began producing feature films in the early '60s. Ransogoff also functioned as chairman of the board for the company until 1972 when he left to become an independent producer. Among his more popular films are Catch-22 (1970), Silver Streak (1976), and Jagged Edge (1985).
