Biography by AllMovie

Canadian import Steve Markle broke into Hollywood on a most unusual and individualistic note, when the then-aspiring stand-up comedian spent a period of time residing at Tinseltown-famed Highland Gardens hotel, famous as a temporary home to aspiring talent of all stripes -- and opted to film the experience during his two-month stay. His efforts yielded the documentary Camp Hollywood (2004), which found tremendous success on the festival circuit and screened on national television. In 2008, Markle signed to star opposite Jeff Kassel on Testees, a series comedy about two young men who sign on to work as human guinea pigs for a product-testing facility and undergo all sorts of outrageous complications.
