British writer/director Marjorie Deans began her film career around 1934. Though her directorial credits are hazy, Deans was definitely a scenarists on some of Britain's more impressive historical dramas of the 1930s. She wrote or co-wrote such lavish entertainments as Catherine the Great (1934), Drake of England (1936) and Kathleen Mavourneen (1938). Marjorie Deans' last recorded credit was as script supervisor for 1946's Caesar and Cleopatra.
