biography
A child performer from the age of nine and a prominent stock company actress, brunette Margaret Fielding was too tall for leading roles on screen and instead played an endless stream of cold-hearted "other women." Onscreen from 1916, Fielding continued her career well into the 1930s, but by then she was reduced to playing spinsters.
