biography
Marcel Duchamp was an innovative painter and sculptor whose daring works influenced several of the abstract modern trends during the early part of the century, including cubism. He made experimental films such as Anemic Cinema (1925) and Abstract (1927) and also worked on a few avant-garde scripts. In 1924, he was seen playing his favorite game, chess, in Rene Clair's Entracte.
