Biography by AllMovie

A stage actor of some note, tall, dark-haired E.K. Lincoln (born Edward Klink Lincoln) had appeared in such Broadway plays as Strongheart, The Squaw Man, and The Virginian prior to embarking on a screen career with the pioneer Vitagraph Company in 1912. A rather stolid leading man whose screen career was basically based on a handsome profile, Lincoln's best known role was perhaps that of safecracker Jimmy Dale in the 1917 Mutual serial Jimmy Dale Alias the Grey Seal, which had everything from a crime lord known as Larry the Bat to a veiled mystery woman assisting Jimmy in righting society's wrongs. In 1922, Lincoln directed Man of Courage, a low-budget Western in which he also starred as a spoiled Easterner stranded in a Western hellhole. E.K. Lincoln, who should not be confused with the contemporary Elmo Lincoln (born Linkenhalter), retired from films in the mid-'20s.
