biography
Character actor Lester Fletcher was once a skiing champion and a figure skater. Born in Wales, Fletcher made his stage debut in 1937 and from there went on to have a long career in New York radio where he became known for his ability to imitate dialects. He later moved into films and, after 1961, began appearing on television.
