biography
American screenwriter Laird Doyle was signed to the Warner Bros. writing stable in 1934. During his three hectic years with Warners, Doyle worked on such noteworthy efforts as Oil for the Lamps of China (1935), The Prince and the Pauper (1937) and Another Dawn (1937). Just before his death, he headed to England to work on Strangers on a Honeymoon (1936). This effort, like many others bearing the Laird Doyle imprimatur, was released posthumously.
