biography
American actor Kenneth MacKenna (born Leo Mielziner in Canterbury, NH) got his start on the stage in 1919. During the late '20s, he began playing leads in a number of silent films and continued through the early '30s, after which, he returned to the stage. Later, he went back to cinema to become a script editor. MacKenna became a character actor in films of the 1960s. His brother, Jo Mielziner, was a well-known stage designer.
