A favorite stunt double for such 1920s action heroes as Ken Maynard, Billy Sullivan, and Reed Howes, Tennessee-born comedian John W. Sinclair (aka Johnny Sinclair) later wrote stunt "gags" for the W.C. Fields comedies It's a Gift (1934) and Man on the Flying Trapeze.
