A screenwriter and adjunct assistant professor at Michigan State University, Jim Cash scripted Hollywood films ranging from Top Gun (1986) to Sister Act (1992). Along with his writing partner, Jack Epps, Jr., Cash, a native of East Lansing, worked prolifically up until his March 24, 2000, death. He was 59 years old.
