Producer/director Jerry Warren specialized in taking low-budget foreign horror movies, adding new footage (frequently shot abroad and starring such actors as John Carradine, Katherine Victor, and Robert Clarke), and distributing the resulting films in American theaters or on syndicated television. Many of the original films Warren cannibalized were Mexican horror films. A native of Los Angeles, Warren started out as a bit player during the 1940s. He made his first "film," Man Beast, in 1956.
