The wife of veteran actor Rhody Hathaway, Hungarian-born supporting actress Jean Hathaway entered films with Kaybee in 1912 and became especially associated with Universal serials. Often playing mothers, Hathaway was fairly busy until retiring in 1925. She became the mother of director Henry Hathaway.
