biography
French director and screenwriter Jean-Gabriel Albicocco is the son of cinematographer Quinto Albicocco. Like his father, young Albicocco began his career as a cameraman. He then became Jules Dassin's assistant on the film He Who Must Die. He went on to direct a few short features before making his first full-length film La Fille aux Yeux d Or (1961).
