biography
Discovered by screen star Corinne Griffith, tall, handsome James Ford had been a chorus boy prior to making his screen debut opposite Vera Reynolds in the low-budget Divine Sinner (1928). Ford spent the next couple of years playing the "other man" at a number of minor studios but never found a permanent berth and was reduced to extra work after the changeover to sound.
