János Herskó is a prominent Hungarian filmmaker who helped establish his country's cinema following WW II. He is also an actor and a screenwriter. He moved to Sweden in the early 1970s. In addition to filmmaking, Herskó also taught at the Budapest Academy of Cinematographic Art.
