Producer Herbert Hirschman primarily worked in early television, but he has also produced Broadway plays and a couple of feature films. He began working in New York studio story departments and from there was a producer and director in stock theater and Broadway. In the late 1940s, Hirschman began directing episodes of such early television shows as Omnibus, Beat the Clock and The Nurses. In the early '70s, he produced a few feature films, They Call Me Mr. Tibbs and Halls of Anger.
