Biography by AllMovie

American jack-of-all-trades Henry Otto was primarily an actor from 1912 to 1916, and then again from 1926 to 1939. From 1916 to 1930, however, Otto concentrated on directing. He often wrote the films he worked on, and occasionally served as producer. Henry Otto's best-known directorial job was the 1924 silent spectacular Dante's Inferno, replete with muscle-bound demons, writhing damned souls, and discreetly naked female torture victims.
