biography
A vaudeville veteran from Missouri, Grover Ligon was one of the many mostly anonymous comedians slaving away at Mack Sennett's Keystone comedies in the early to mid-1910s. Ligon, who appeared opposite Charles Chaplin in both Those Love Pangs (1914) and the feature Tillie's Punctured Romance (1914), later became a member of the Larry Semon stock company at Chadwick. Adding an extra "g" to his last name, the veteran comic played miniscule roles in feature films until at least 1938.
