French leading man Gilbert Gil played in numerous romances during the '30s and '40s. He got his start when he was quite young, appearing in a few films by Raymond Bernard and Julien Duvivier, including Pepe le Moko. In 1947, Gil directed his only film Brigade Criminelle. When not working in films, Gil appeared on stage and radio.
