biography
A tough-looking character actor from Greece, George Kotsonaros specialized in playing gorillas and a variety of brutish henchmen. One of Kotsonaros' first screen roles, not surprisingly, was playing Hector in Alexander Korda's The Private Life of Helen of Troy (1927). Today, however, he is perhaps best remembered as one of Richard Arlen's fellow hoboes in William Wellman's Beggars of Life (1928).
