biography
A pioneering screen actor, Frank Jonasson was a popular leading man and character player with the Western Kalem company (1913-1917), appearing in numerous one- and two-reel Westerns, series, and serials, notably as Marin Sais' long-suffering father in the 21-chapter The American Girl (1915). He later played the pirate captain in Old Ironsides (1926) and continued to appear in bit parts until at least 1930.
