biography
An African-American supporting actor from Iowa, Floyd Shackelford was highly visible in Universal Westerns of the 1920s, usually playing Native Americans, Negro cooks, and various servants. His roles got increasingly smaller in the sound era, where he did his fair share of stereotypical Pullman porters.
