Biography by AllMovie

On-stage from the age of 15, buxom Eva Thatcher became known in vaudeville as "The Irish Lady." In films from at least 1916, when she popped up in Harold Lloyd's Lonesome Luke comedies, Thatcher is today perhaps best remembered for playing the cook who serves Charles Chaplin Limburger cheese in The Count (1916). A mainstay in two-reel comedies in the 1910s, Thatcher appeared in quite a few low-budget Westerns in the following decade.
