biography
A vivacious brunette from the musical comedy stage, brunette Dorothy Kelly became a star in the early 1910s, with the Vitagraph company of Brooklyn, NY. Appearing opposite almost all the Vitagraph comedians, including John Bunny and his successor Hughie Mack, Kelly was especially popular in tandem with child star Bobby Connelly. Like so many of the early stars, however, her career declined with the popularity of two-reelers and she left films after the 1917 Vitagraph serial The Secret Kingdom.
