biography
A winsome child actor of the 1920s, Dick Brandon had performed professionally from the age of 22 months prior to entering films in 1923. Billed as Dicky Brandon, the dark-haired child played Johnny Hines as a boy in The Spirit of the USA, Mae Busch's son in A Woman Who Sinned (1924; he was, of course, the fruit of the title "sin"), and had several other such roles. Puberty, however, put a stop to all this and little Dicky retired at the ripe old age of 13.
