- At the age of fourteen, Stephenson took part in BBC's talent competition Opportunity Knocks, progressing to the All-Winner's Final, broadcast from the famed London Palladium.
- Starred in ITV soap opera Coronation Street, playing Frankie Baldwin, from 2004 until 2006, when she left to spend more time with her family.
- Worked prominently as an impressionist, often alongside Jon Culshaw.
- As well as her television performances, Stephenson has starred in numerous stage pantomines.
- Patron of Julia's House Children's Hospice and Lewis-Manning Hospice.
- Appeared with Ray Quinn in the ITV talent show Get Your Act Together in 2015.
- Has voiced a number of characters in the ITV puppet sketch show Newzoids with Jon Culshaw since 2015.
- Made her debut as Jane in Midlife Cowboy, a new musical at the Pleasance Theatre in Edinburgh in 2019.
