Biography by AllMovie

American director David Howard worked steadily in Hollywood from 1932 until his death in 1941. Howard specialized in westerns, taking time out for a brace of independent serials, including the deathless Lost Jungle (1935). He was most closely associated with the films of cowboy star George O'Brien. Beginning with 1932's The Rainbow Trail, David Howard helmed virtually all of O'Briens vehicles for Sol Lesser Productions and RKO.
