Actor Carl-Heinz Schroth's long, varied career began on the German stage in the 1920s; he made his film debut in the early '30s. During the '50s and '60s, he played comical characters in theater, but then switched to feature films and television. In the latter venue, he is best remembered for Jakob und Adele.
