biography
Bobby Riggs was among tennis' all-time great players during the late '40s, but he became even more famous in the early '70s, for the sexist comments that led to his having an ill-fated match with reigning tennis queen Billie Jean King, in 1973. Though she cleaned his clock on the court, Riggs became quite the celebrity on the talk show circuit and appeared in two feature films, Racquet and The Ultimate Imposter (both 1979).
