biography
A pretty ingénue of the 1920s, brunette Betty Baker (born Elizabeth Baker) entered films right after graduating from Hollywood's Metropolitan High School in 1925. Like so many of her contemporaries, including the young Jean Arthur, Baker played supporting roles in Grade-A productions and larger parts opposite B-movie perennials such as Buffalo Bill Jr. (Galloping Gobs, 1927, Bar L Ranch, 1930), Wally Wales (Skedaddle Gold, 1927), and Buddy Roosevelt (The Painted Trail, 1928). She left films in 1935.
