The Wicked Queen in (#The Seven Swans}, Marguerite Clark's romantic version of Hans Christian Andersen's The Ugly Duckling, Augusta Anderson was a former member of the Biograph company's comedy troupe. The wife of Keystone comedian/assistant director Andy Anderson, the buxom character actress also played Mrs. St. Clair in a 1918 version of Uncle Tom's Cabin and, in the sound era, Johnny Mack Brown's haughty mother in Mae West's Belle of the Nineties (1934).
