biography
Pop crooner Al Martino was discovered in a talent competition in 1948. His first single, "Here in My Heart," went to number one on the UK Singles Chart, and thus began a life in showbusiness that would span several decades. In addition to releasing several singles throughout the '50s, Martino would record over 30 studio albums. He passed away in 2009, at the age of 82.
